Where Fairways Meet Community

STRAIGHT FROM THE FAIRWAY - FAQ

Got questions about:

  • who we are
  • what we’re building
  • or how you can get involved?

You’re in the right spot. Here’s everything you need to know about MUDG, the Fairway Fund, and how to help shape Maine’s newest disc golf community.

  • What is Maine Urban Disc Golf (MUDG)?

MUDG is a community-driven project bringing disc golf into Maine’s cities, towns, and public spaces. We’re creating pop-up courses, clinics, and events designed to make disc golf accessible, inclusive, and fun for everyone — whether you’ve been throwing for years or just picked up your first disc.

  • Are you hosting tournaments yet?

Not yet — but that’s the plan!

Right now, we’re focused on building the foundation: connecting with local communities, scouting urban course locations, and testing pop-up events. As we grow, tournaments, leagues, and larger community events will be added to the schedule.

  • How can I get involved?

Easy — join the Founder's List! You’ll be the first to hear about volunteer opportunities, community events, and membership perks. We’re also looking for local partners, sponsors, and disc golf enthusiasts to help shape what comes next.

    GET INVOLVED
  • What is the MUDG Club?

The MUDG Club is our upcoming membership program designed for players who want to be part of the movement from the start. Founding members will receive exclusive perks once the club launches — plus early access to news, events, and gear.

  • What is the Fairway Fund?

The Fairway Fund is MUDG’s community impact initiative — a dedicated fund that supports local park improvements, youth programs, and environmental stewardship projects connected to disc golf. Every contribution, whether through donations, event proceeds, or shop purchases, helps keep Maine’s fairways clean, inclusive, and thriving.

By supporting the Fairway Fund, you’re helping us build more than courses — you’re helping us grow community spaces that inspire connection and outdoor recreation for everyone.

  • What makes “urban disc golf” different?

Urban disc golf uses shorter, creative course designs placed in walkable, public areas — like downtown parks, waterfronts, and community greenspaces. The layouts are designed for safety, accessibility, and fun, bringing the sport closer to where Mainers live, work, and play.

  • Where will you be hosting events?

We’re starting in southern and coastal Maine, with plans to expand statewide. Each pop-up event helps us learn which locations and communities are most excited about disc golf — so your sign-ups and feedback directly shape where we go next.

  • How can my business or organization get involved?

We’re actively seeking partnerships with local businesses, schools, and sponsors who share our passion for community and the outdoors. Sponsorships help fund events, equipment, and youth programs — and give your brand a visible role in Maine’s growing disc golf movement.

    LET'S GROW TOGETHER
  • I’m new to disc golf — can I still participate?

Absolutely! MUDG was built for everyone. We offer various events and pop-ups, including those designed to be beginner-friendly, with free clinics, community gear, and players ready to help you learn. No experience required — just curiosity and a good attitude.
